Really sorry to read this I hope you find a way to solve this out !

Why don't you try some participative funding platform or simple donation request like other projects do ?
3) Message boards : Number crunching : credit drops (Message 1073)
Posted 28 Jul 2019 by [AF>Le_Pommier] Jerome_C2005
They are more than dropping : I have 3 tasks crunching on my Mac since 1.5 day and credit output is almost null in the past 24 hours...

I see here below my avatar a 98,721 RAC, does it mean "almost 100K" or "below 100" ?

If the answer is "almost 100k" then this is the problem since no other boinc statistical website does see it (and 100k would be way too much for my 3 tasks anyway).
If it is "below 100" then this is the point !

Michael : so are you saying there is no real end to your project ?

(my guess is that there isn't)

Hi Michael + PGLab

very interesting thread !

Any advance on this ?

"Kind regards,"

People who come to complain and come back yelling at the community, the admin, the earth, one day later because we didn't stop the earth rotating because of that immense problem that is affecting them should be melted into their computer. Period.

If you are not familiar with GridCoin, also note that it is a system that is involving money into a concept where people are donating freely crunch power to scientific projects (= boinc).

And any human activity where money is coming in tends to be corrupted, sooner or later and whatever the form it takes. This is an axiom.
9) Message boards : Number crunching : What is it doing? (Message 436)

First read the first topic of this section.

Then it may be that temporarily job is not sent to the boinc tasks, and boinc cannot know this before loading tasks.

Note that you can only use a machine connected 100% of the time to the net to run this project.
10) Message boards : Number crunching : Cross-project ID is inconsistent with other projects (Message 435)

Once you are sure that you have the same email address and also user name on all your projects, try to crunch at least one task of each one of the projects you are participating on a single machine.

This will consolidate your data with a single CPID in all the boinc statistical websites around.

For dead / terminated projects where you cannot change anything anymore (and you still have some credit data in the boinc statistical sites) some of these sites also provide a mechanism of "alias" to unify your accounts.

I'm home now, they actually finished by themselves yesterday afternoon , both, status says success, with the same ugly log inside.

Posted 11 Sep 2018 by [AF>Le_Pommier] Jerome_C2005
I was not home yesterday evening and I didn't see your answer, it'll have to wait.

But the strange thing is that I saw that credit has been generating while these tasks are (apparently) running... so they cant' be dead, can they ?

Regarding the credit status of the tasks, what has changed is that now you don't delete the tasks anymore in the history (this is good) compared to the beginning of the project, so now that we see them this status is a bit confusing. Couldn't you set them to "validated" by default then once they are finished ?

Apparently the thing has been giving some regular credits in the past week, so it is working after all...

What a WEIRD run log anyway !!

Let me be the first to post in that section, I hope it's not a bad idea and it will read and answered ! :)

I have 2 tasks running (this one and that one), they started to calculate on 02/09 (5 days ago), they report more than 2 days of calculation (they share the CPU with other projects, sometimes they suspend, then they run again) but they are using 100% of one core each, and I realized that the stderr.txt in the slot of both was last updated 2 days ago and contains this :

Are they dead ? What kind of "calculation" can they be doing then ??

I must abort them ?

Also I saw that all my finished tasks reported here are waiting for validation since 24/08 for the oldest. Is this normal ?

Tidi, I really don't see the point of running both the standalone DHEP and other boinc projects on the same machine if you now have the DHEP Boinc app officially available now (where you'll have support so it run smootly with other boinc apps)... ??

Finally the 2nd task I mentionned did finish with no error, and was never credited : at the beginning I saw a status "waiting for validation" or something similar, but then it disappeared from the list and the credit was unchanged.

The first one that crashed earlier was never credited neither (and I know it had been running for quite some time, using CPU).

It's really a pity that you purge the result table all the time, there is no way we can refer to any existing task in the past, this is not normal.

And it's a pity that we (I) don't get credited for CPU cycles given to the project.

my machine is not connecting anymore to the net for the last 2 days and I didn't have time to check out why yet.

But I don't think I'm on that page - I guess I should find my user name in the first column ?

I have 2 tasks running on my Mac for several days (received the 05/07 and running together with other projects, sometimes suspended but then crunching again), one has crashed after a reboot / upgrade of the Mac (but not the other one) but I think I have received no new credit during all that time.

And I also found that third link with a different team ID, I think we have a duplicated team created, don't you think ?!

Clearer, indeed.

This does apply to any client / any OS ?

Also here this is me : (there is a "total effort" : meaning ? )
Does this correspond to any Boinc credit, somewhere ?
