Hi Zarck this is expected. For now you can read the other messages in the forum to get an idea of why.

We'll be adding a notice somewhere more prominent of how DHE @ BOINC operates.

However I can assure you your client did make considerable progress: http://www.dhep.ga/statsisland.php?island_id=1500

And your this is translating into BOINC credit: https://stats.free-dc.org/user/dhe/40

Tasks are of indefinite length which is why they're always at 0%. All that matters is how much time you spend on them. You can stop and start them at any time, your contributions are sent to the server (like a trickle) every 15 minutes.

Hi Zarck, a GA is a slightly different paradigm to other projects. There are no "units". Perhaps we should find a way to adapting so people coming from other projects see something they're familiar with.

You will roughly be allocated 20 credits per hour/thread spent on DHE.

Yes badges are a nice idea and we will implement them in the future.

Credit just reset to 0 in BOINCmgr. Hope this doesn't happen at Free-DC. Looking forward to the badges.

It's BETA guys, credit can disappear at any time..

I know Michael is trying very hard to get credit working properly within the BOINC framework, so hang in there whilst he tries to do that.

Just making sure he knows what's going on ;) It is indeed BETA, just went from 0 to over 210K.

Just a quick comment on this. As stated at http://dhep.ga/boinc/

The credit allocation system is being upgraded so there will be glitches in what is displayed.

Please note no work or credits are lost. Everything is being recorded under the hood (both within BOINC and DHE) as usual.

Rankings at http://www.dhep.ga/statsrankings.php also continue as normal.

Hi Michael, I'm not in that member list but I'm in that one : what is the difference ?

And I also found that third link with a different team ID, I think we have a duplicated team created, don't you think ?!

Hello Jerome this is related to the Alpha testing period you were part of. You most likely didn't reset your application since the early alpha days. (http://dhep.ga/boinc/forum_thread.php?id=2&postid=69) . Prior to this message all Windows users were visible in the DHE world as WinBoinc, this is likely still the case for you now. After this message a Windows custom built wrapper started sending your BOINC user to DHE. You can either reset now (you won't loose credit or work in progress) or pick this change up in our next app release.

And I also found that third link with a different team ID, I think we have a duplicated team created, don't you think ?!

This is also related to old (alpha testing) app versions on Linux and Mac OS. I wrote similar messages notifying everyone to reset their clients. In early Linux/Mac app versions almost every character in names was replaced with _, the latest version only replace spaces with _. Hence the two versions of the team in the DHE world. The good news is that once those clients are updated (either reset now or wait for next update) the users will automatically shift to the correct team name. Should there be any loose ends after this is done please do not hesitate to get in touch and I will make the necessary manual adjustments.

A tip, making a v.03 and depreciating an old app will force the clients to pick up new versions. A reset is not the best way to get updates to users. That also erases any app_config settings we may have. BOINC announcements get sent to clients as Notices and would also be better way to pass along that type of information. Cheers.

Hi thanks mmonnin, as mentioned previously resets were required during alpha testing. Now all out of date apps are deprecated. However the old app version will keep crunching until the BOINC clients fetch work.

So feel free to abort current tasks before completion to force the app update through. This will not impact your credit scoring as it is trickle based.
